Флагманы жанра gothic americana представили новый сингл и клип под названием Fool’s Gold. Трек в лучших традициях Heathen Apostles — звуки гитар, скрипки, банджо, контрабаса и парящий, печальный, но одновременно сильный и яростный вокал алой ведьмы Мазер Лаут. В Fool’s Gold есть тоска, ирония и, конечно же, весь колорит gothic americana.

Видеоряд превосходен. Впрочем, Heathen Apostles еще ни разу не разочаровали визуальной составляющей своего творчества. Клип стилизован под немое кино с его интертитрами, выразительностью движений актеров и общей камерностью. Примечательное место действия – почти аутентичная эзотерическая лавка со всеми сопутствующими атрибутами. Периодически кадры основной сюжетной линии сменяются милой пасторальной картинкой где-то в полях и лугах с развивающимися по ветру картами Таро. В Fool’s Gold очень много внимания отдано деталям и символизму.

Что касается сюжета — на этот раз Heathen Apostles рассказали историю, полную оккультизма, гангстерских разборок, выстрелов, крови, Таро и дураков. И снова нашлось место истории любви с проклятием и, соответственно, с печальной развязкой. 9/10

Leaders of the genre «Gothic Americana» presented a new single and video  «Fool’s Gold». This track in the best traditions of Heathen Apostles — the sounds of guitars, violin, banjo, bass and soaring, sad, but at the same time strong and furious vocal of Mather Louth. The Fool’s Gold has a melancholy, irony and, of course, the whole flavor of «Gothic Americana».

Video excellent. Although, Heathen Apostles have never disappointed me the visual component of his work. Clip stylized as silent cinema with his intertitres, body language and facial expression of the actors. A remarkable scene of action — almost authentic esoteric salon with all accompanying attributes. Periodically shots main storyline changed by sweet pastoral pictures, somewhere in the fields and meadows with flying on the wind Tarot cards. In «The Fool’s Gold» a lot of attention given to detail.

As for the plot — this time Heathen Apostles told the story, full of the occult, gang fights, shots, blood, Tarot and fools. Also there has a place for lovestory with a curse and accordingly with a sad outcome. 9/10
